Today I was sitting on our patio when I noticed a humming sound. I thought it was a wasp and given the sound it seemed to be a pretty big one. But I could not spot anything. The sound disappeared and I did not pay further attention. After a while, the sound returned. This time, I spotted an insect which certainly was not a wasp. It wasn’t a bumbelbee either and I was a bit surprised when it took course on our awning. Taking a closer look I found a wild bee building a nest inside a hole of the awning case.
