While recovering from the ‘heart attack‘ about a month ago, Incanto now suffered from incontinence. After descaling the machine I wanted to pull a new coffee and was wondering, why the brew cycle finished and my coffee pot was still empty. Meanwhile, the kitchen counter was flooded with water. Hmmm, this is not as it should be. After opening the machine and starting a test run, I saw the water spreading inside the machine after a while when the water reached a certain temperature. Disassembling Incanto again, I found the culprit pretty quickly. It was the heater to generate steam to produce milk-foam which had a small leak that could have developed as result of the descaling activities.

Looking for a replacement part was not that easy. The first two shops showed the part but could not deliver. After a while, I found a place and ordered. The new heater arrived a few days later.

The electrical wiring had to be adjusted due to different style of the connectors. Fortunately, matching blade connectors where among the deliverables. Cutting off the old, crimping the new ones and assembling was a matter of minutes. Fresh coffee is on its way!
